I like the way my favorite VW website's discussion forum is set up -- note that it's all searchable too:

OK - I've added more questions per everyone's discussion here.
I'm pretty sure it won't let you vote twice, so let's see how the voting goes, then I'll factor ya'll's comments in with the totals.

I also favor Yahoo. I am in a few other yahoo groups and they work very well. They range from 6 members to 8000 members and I have never had trouble accessing any group like I have had here the past week. They are easy to search and they have sections where we can easily post photos.
The only downside is that every once in a while you get the random garbage. However, on the other hand, you can have e-mail digests sent to you and you can read them that way as well as going directly to the web page.
Just my two cents from the newbie.

I'm in several Yahoo Groups and I think it seriously limits discussion when you can't have the threads like we have here. Unless you can get the features like we have here, I don't see much of an argument for switching.

Todd could explain the last 2 choices in more detail.

Hello all you CHAMBERS fans!
I have created a poll for us to vote our thoughts on the issue of how best we want to be in contact with each other.
Please click on the links below to cast your vote.
I'll give it a week or so to give everyone a chance to have their say.

I have voted, but perhaps I should have asked questions first. I voted to keep only the Yahoo site. My assumption is that we can recreate the same type of threads & searches there, while also transferring all the great information from this site. I have been on other Yahoo groups and they were easy to sort through for topics & info. Either way, I just don't want to lose contact with our Chambers' think tank. My fear in continuing w/ Hostboard is that we might lose everything if the site crashses.

i'm in favor of switching every thing over to YAHOO. I originally voted to do both but that would make more work for TODD.
If we can use YAHOO exclusively then why not?
